Wooka Wooka Yeah!

When I bought my new xbox (arcade) it came with a disk with some xbox live arcade games on it. One of the games was Pac-Man: Championship Edition. If you have not already aquired this game, I would highly recomend it. The created of this game was obviously playing the original Pac-Man in the arcade while on large amounts of LSD. Pac-Man C.E. is my second favorite game on the arcade (right after Aegis Wing) and will forever have a place in my heart. Also, another bonus is that it only takes a few hours to 200! Wooka Wooka Yeah!

In other news - Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon was avery enjoy and easy 1,000. I am only one short (incredibaly diffacult) preformance away from the 1,000. I have to play a segment from the song Holy Wars by Megadeth, flawlessly, on the drums. Also, I am just one achievement away from the 1,000 in Tetris Evolution; this should be done in a few days. Just started Feeding Frenzy as well, that won't take to long either.

RIP xbox #1

I salute you my good friend, you lasted me a very long time.  23 months and 2 weeks is a very long time for an xbox 360 to live, and I am satisfied.

Last night at about 2 AM as I was playing Destroy All Humans my television screen started to get all these purple lines running down it.  It wouldn’t go away, so I saved my game and turned off my xbox.  When I turned it back on I got one red ring and the E-74 error.  I unplugged everything and left my xbox out over night, tried it the next morning, and still nothing.  I grudgingly called 1-800-4MY-XBOX and asked them what I can do.  Since my warranty had expired all I could do was pay 99$ to get my current xbox fixed.  I laughed at this foreign man and hung up.

After I finish typing this I am going to Target and buying a new xbox.  I am going to get the Arcade and will be selling the game it comes with, the controller, the AV cable, and the power brick.  So hopefully I will be able to get some of my 200 bucks back.  So I’m a little bummed right now, but I’ll only be xboxless for about 12 hours total.

Also, if anyone wants to buy my used broken xbox contact me via PM on x360a.org and I would be more than happy to sell it to you very cheap.

So this is a blog...

Well hello there! This is my first blog I have ever written, and I'm sure you already know it is about my obsession, love, and hobby. The xbox 360 and its wonderful achievement system! I will generally be writing about my progress in games and my experiences with my friends on XBL. I have recently given up on pure gamerscore whoring. My attitude has shifted towards completion percent. I am trying to get as high a score as I can while completing all my games.

At the moment I am fueled by competition through my great friend Marx0r. Him and I are quite close in Gamerscore and have similar goals. Prior to today we were both at 34 retail completions. But, today I finished up Mass Effect and did Jumper and NHL 2K6 in one sitting. So, that brings me to 37 and Marc still at 34. It is just a friendly competition, but the first to 50 retail completions wins a cookie... so keep that in mind.
Just for the sake of tooting my own horn I'm going to throw some quick numbers your way. At the time of writing this I have:
92% completion with 49,525 Gamerscore.
A few impressive 100% games I have done:
Guitar Hero II
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
Rock Band
Rock Band 2
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Rainbow Six Vegas
Tony Hawk's Project 8
Skate
Contra (XBLA)
Undertow (XBLA)

So, stay tuned for future updates in the world of Birk and achievements. Thanks for reading, keep it real.

PS- Thanks to Marc and Stall for inspiring me to make one of these blog thing-a-mah-jigs!
