RIP xbox #1

I salute you my good friend, you lasted me a very long time.  23 months and 2 weeks is a very long time for an xbox 360 to live, and I am satisfied.

Last night at about 2 AM as I was playing Destroy All Humans my television screen started to get all these purple lines running down it.  It wouldn’t go away, so I saved my game and turned off my xbox.  When I turned it back on I got one red ring and the E-74 error.  I unplugged everything and left my xbox out over night, tried it the next morning, and still nothing.  I grudgingly called 1-800-4MY-XBOX and asked them what I can do.  Since my warranty had expired all I could do was pay 99$ to get my current xbox fixed.  I laughed at this foreign man and hung up.

After I finish typing this I am going to Target and buying a new xbox.  I am going to get the Arcade and will be selling the game it comes with, the controller, the AV cable, and the power brick.  So hopefully I will be able to get some of my 200 bucks back.  So I’m a little bummed right now, but I’ll only be xboxless for about 12 hours total.

Also, if anyone wants to buy my used broken xbox contact me via PM on x360a.org and I would be more than happy to sell it to you very cheap.

  1. I thought you needed a comment on your blog bud. I would have gone to best buy to get an xbox rather than target. With their 2 year replacement warrenty, you don't even have to deal with microsoft and you get a replacement box that day.

  2. What lured me into Target was that I had a 10% off coupon for any purchase over $100. So, after taxes it cost me under $200; which was nice.
